Day 119: Where am I?

Welcome back, campers.

It’s Adventure Day!

Today’s Activity: Try to figure out where you are in the world.

GeoGuessr is a game where you’re dropped in a random place somewhere in the world, and have to guess where you are. There’s a free version that uses Mapillary imagery, as well as paid variations that use Google Street View.

Sometimes you get lucky, and realize that the parking lot you’ve landed in sure looks like it’s in NYC. Sometimes context clues like the language on a billboard help narrow things down. Other times, you end up on the endless red-orange dirt roads of western Australia. But best of all is when you stumble across a beautiful place you’ve never seen before.
