Day 105: [REDACTED]
It’s Writing Day!
Writing Prompt: Try blackout poetry.
Blackout poetry is composed by choosing a few words to keep and blacking out the rest of the page. Austin Kleon’s work is very much worth a read.
Blackout poetry is also a great way to get around writer’s block. The words are already there: all you have to do is decide what story you want to tell with them.
Grab a newspaper or magazine and a permanent marker, choose a likely-looking page, and follow this teacher’s guide to create your own blackout poem.
