Day 91: Permanent Staycation
It’s Writing Day!
Writing Prompt: What is your lockdown language?
Do you find yourself coining new words to describe your changed circumstances? Heck, how many of us were familiar with the phrase “social distancing” a few months ago?
Some of the language changes are just the result of spending a whole bunch of extra time with the same people. At our place we’ve started referring to putting up a temporary screen door as “snaveling” because the brand of said door is Snavely Forest. (Apparently “snaveling” is also Australian slang for stealing or grabbing?)
What new words do you find yourself saying these days?
