Day 209: Balderdash!
It’s Games and Puzzles Day!
Today’s Activity: Play Balderdash online with your friends.
The classic board game translates well to video chat. Gather a gaggle of budding etymologists, and have one person choose an obscure word for the others to invent definitions for. Each person sends their own definition to the host, who reads them all aloud, along with the true definition mixed in. Then everyone votes for what they think is the correct answer.
Each person gets a point for guessing correctly, and another point for each person who voted for their answer. Then either the winner of the round or the next person in order becomes the host for the next round.
Play to a set number of points and declare a winner, or just go until gameplay devolves into people making the host say silly things.
Here’s a site where you can play if you want to track things more formally.
