It’s Arts & Crafts day!
Today’s Activity: Make a phenakistiscope.
Phenakistiscopes are the earliest form of animation, dating back to the 1830s. They’re paper discs you spin and look through to see their illustrations come to life reflected in a mirror. (Do check out that Wikipedia link, there are some impressive examples!)
The good thing is, they’re harder to spell than they are to make. Here’s a simple tutorial with downloadable templates.
