Day 145: (Very) slow food
It’s Food and Drink Day!
Today’s Activity: Begin prep on a time-consuming cooking project.
Start something now that you won’t be able to enjoy the same day. Potential ideas:
Cook a chicken, then make homemade stock from the leftovers
Start a sourdough starter (like everyone else these days)
Fermented food: sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha
Cure meat or fish: you can make your own bacon or salmon gravlax
Future you will appreciate your efforts!
